LABELLE — Hendry Glades Audubon will host their last program until September on Monday, May 13, at 7 p.m. at the Dallas Townsend Agricultural Extension Office, 1085 Pratt Blvd.
The program will be “Fisheating Creek Connecting People and Nature” presented by FWC Biological Scientist, Carrie Kimbrough.
FWC manages Fisheating Creek Wildlife Management Area, spanning 40 miles of creek over 18,400 acres, with a team of five motivated and hardworking staff that share a passion for natural resource conservation and managing this property for the benefit of the wildlife and the people that recreate on this beautiful area.
Carrie and Emily Angell work on this team to perform land management duties like prescribed fire, invasive plant removal, and mechanical treatment of vegetation to restore natural habitats. They also conduct wildlife surveys, outreach, hunting opportunities, and ground maintenance. Carrie enjoys puzzles and reading books in her free time and Emily’s hobbies include CrossFit, cross-stitching, and theater.
