OKEECHOBEE — Rock Solid Christian Academy hosted its annual fundraiser Friday night Jan. 26 in the sanctuary at First Baptist Church.

Kincee Baker and Caiden Doyle emceed the show, and did an excellent job introducing the acts and keeping the audience laughing as they waited for the next performer.

The house was packed as parents, friends and family enjoyed various acts such as dance, singing, guitar, comedy and more.

First up were Waylon Rogers and Dallas Enfinger dancing to “My Father’s House.”

They were followed by Hailey Johnson singing “King of Kings,” Jay Nieves-Santiago playing “Ode to Joy” on the guitar, Ella Yates and Lillie Smith in a painting and singing duet. After the show, a ticket was drawn to see who would be blessed with the original painting by Lillie.

Paisley Schoonmaker had the crowd in stitches with her joke-telling skills.

After Paisley came Macie Berggren-Larsen, Ava Mae Rickards and Bailey Rickards performing a dance to the song “Crazy People.”

Elizabeth Severini was a hit singing “Speak Life,”  Riley Williams and Hagyn Yates had the audience rolling with their unusual comedy act.

Emma Kummet did a lovely job on her song, “Rescue,” and she was followed by an enthusiastic dance & cheer routine by Emma McGee, Baylee Clay, Maddie Borowski and Cassie Palmer. The girls used the song “Praise” as their music.

Davis Van Buren and Sawyer Wolf sang “Lion of Judah” while Joy Turbeville, Aubrey Morris and Trace Borowski danced behind them.

Natalie Hoglo, Lila Corbitt and Taylor Malcolm were a hit in their skit “The Exam.” Lila played a young girl who cheated on an exam. Natalie played a friend who did not approve. Throughout the skit, the audience was led to believe the exam was for school, but as Taylor comes in playing a nurse, the audience finds out the exam was actually an eye exam, and Taylor tells Lila since she passed, she does not need to get glasses. As Lila attempts to leave, she trips over something on the floor because she did not see it.

The show ended with a beautiful rendition of “Mamas” by Sharyl Enfinger, and there was hardly a dry eye in the house.
