LaBelle Gallery and Cultural Center reopens

Posted

LABELLE- The small art gallery formerly known as the Barron Park House Gallery, located along the river across from Barron Park, will reopen on Saturday, September 4, 2021 as the LaBelle Gallery and Cultural Center.

The new hours will be from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

A board meeting will be held at the gallery on September 1, at 5:00 p.m., which will be followed by a receiving day on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

During the receiving day hours, artists are encouraged to bring their art for exhibition. Each artist may bring up to five pieces. Each piece must be ready to hang. The cost is $20 for members and $25 non-members to submit their work to the gallery for the month.

The gallery is located at 471 N Lee St., facing the Caloosahatchee River, across the street from Barron Park. The local art hangs inside the small building known as the historic Christie House, built in 1914. Much of the house is still original, making this unique, little gallery quite the hidden gem.
