OKEECHOBEE -- On Tuesday, the Okeechobee City Police Department received a complaint about an apparent kidnapping at a McDonald's restaurant on N.E. Park Street in Okeechobee.

Witnesses reported seeing a Hispanic male being forcibly removed from a vehicle,  handcuffed, leg chained and placed in a dark colored vehicle.

Detective James Pickering contacted the Okeechobee County Jail to find out if any bail bondsmen had brought in any subjects.

He was advised that  a Hispanic male was brought in about 10 minutes after the incident had been observed  by the witnesses.

The bail bondsman also confirmed the man had been apprehended at McDonald's.
