Heartland Coalition offers assistance for the homeless

CLEWISTON — Heartland Coalition will hold a Community Outreach for Hendry, Glades and Okeechobee counties at the John B Boy Auditorium, 1200 South WC Owens Avenue in Clewiston on Wednesday, Oct. 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The following agencies will be available:
• Heads Hearts & Hand of Heartland — Provides mobile showers and more. For information, call 863-840-3989;

• A.L.P.I. — Low Income Home Energy Program provides utilities assistance. For information, call 863-956-3491;
• A.L.P.I. — Community Service Block Grant provides rental assistance and family self sufficiency resources. For information, call 863-956-3491;
• Heartland Coalition for the Homeless — Provides rental assistance for families that have been financially impacted by covid. For information, call 863-453-8901.
