Brahman Band honored for State Finals performance

OKEECHOBEE- The Okeechobee County School Board recently recognized the Okeechobee High School Marching Band for their finals placement at the FMBC State Marching Band Championships in November.

The Brahmans earned fifth in the state in their class this year.

Band director Clint LaFlam was at  the the School Board meeting along with seniors from the Band program. Students also had the opportunity to speak before the Board and the public, and they highlighted the significance of the the Band program’s support in their education and the impact of Mr. and Mrs. LaFlam on their lives.

Earlier this year the Brahman Band secured first place at the Braden River Marching Band Invitational on Nov. 4. Okeechobee earned honors for Best Music, Best Percussion, Best General Effect, and Best Marching at the invitational.
