This morning at the Okeechobee Christian Academy, Sheriff Noel Stephen was joined by Mr. Greg Maynard and Ms. Timmie Oldiges from Wreaths Across America Okeechobee, who accepted a fantastic donation of $1050.00 from Principal Melissa King and the children and teachers who made this donation possible. During their kindness week, money to “dress down” from their regular uniforms and wear red, white, and blue or camouflage was collected. Needless to say, these kids went above and beyond any expectations. Please come out next Saturday, December 16, to the Evergreen cemetery, where the service will start at noon. You can assist us in laying wreaths out on all veterans grave markers who are laid to rest at the cemetery. After completing Evergreen, predetermined groups will go to Bassinger and Ft. Drum to ensure those veterans laid to rest there are honored. We hope to see you then.
