Alzheimer’s Community Forum will be held on Thursday, June 9 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Hear a brief overview on Alzheimer’s, dementia and memory loss. Bring a friend who has been affected by the disease. Share your thoughts about how we can help people in your community.

What lifestyle interventions can be used to promote brain health? Join us to learn about the latest advancements in Alzheimer’s and dementia research. Special guest, Dr. Jennifer O’Brien, Associate Professor, Department of Psychology, University of South Florida will give insight into cognitive training research. Also, hear from an Alzheimer’s community educator who will present “Health Living for the Brain and Body”.

Healthy Living for the Brain and Body will be held on Tuesday, June 15 from 11 a.m. to noon.

For centuries we’ve known that the health of the brain and the body are connected. But now, science is able to provide insights into how to make lifestyle choices that may help you keep your brain and body healthy as you age. Join us to learn about research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement, and use hands-on tools to help you incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging.
