Veterans remembered at Ft Denaud Ceremony

One of the largest crowds in years attended the Memorial Day Ceremony held at the Ft Denaud Cemetary by the American Legion Post #130 on Monday, May 31. Various speakers spoke to the crowd about the sacrifices made by the local veterans and their families. Vice Commander of the Legion, Myra Johnson ended the service by reading the poem Freedom Isn’t Free by Kelly Strong, followed by a 21-gun salute and Taps played by Commander Bill Davis.
