Everglades City will host their Centennial Music Festival

Posted

Start the winter season with great music in peaceful surroundings at the Centennial Music Festival on Saturday, Nov4, on t. he lawn overlooking the river behind the historic Rod & Gun Club in Everglades City, the first seat of Collier County when it was founded in 1923.

The line-up of popular performers includes Raiford Starke, Marie Nofsinger, Rita Youngman, Gator Nate, and local award-winner Charlie Pace. Dave Shealy from Skunk Ape headquarters, just down the road in Ochopee, will be joining them.

Besides live entertainment, there will be arts & crafts for sale and for auction, thanks to donations from this active community. Lunch is provided on-site by the Lions Club who will be selling hot dogs and soft drinks or by the restaurant of the Club on their porch near the outdoor stage.

The event benefits the Everglades Society for Historic Preservation, a non-profit whose current project is restoration of the old Bank building.

For ticket information, visit www.eshp.org or at the gate on the day. For information, call Marya at 239-451-0265.
