MOORE HAVEN — In August of 2022, iTECH Glades officially began laying the foundation for the first cohort of LPN students to have the opportunity to earn their Licensed Practical Nursing certifications. Earning this certificate and the completion of these hours did not come without learning curves, stumbling blocks, and even the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.

The students worked diligently completing class assignments, projects, presentations, and actively participating in class discussions. In addition to on campus learning, students were assigned clinical rotations with local doctors, clinics, schools, and various other community agencies. The partnerships allowed the students to play an active role in patient care at various ages and stages of health. iTECH Glades is proud to share that 16 students successfully completed the required 1350 hours and received their pin on September 2023 witnessed by family, friends, community partners, and community members. This would not have been possible without the continued support of CareerSource, FutureMakers, The Glades Electric Cooperative, and local scholarships and donations.

iTech Glades would like to thank Glades County Schools for the use of the auditorium and their continued support of the program. As well as community partners from Hendry and Glades counties for their continued support to each of the programs offered on the Glades campus. Congratulations to each of the 16 students for their successful completion of the program. Your hard work and dedication made this possible.
